Recent History & Immediate Future
The Discovery Center has recently renovated most of its 25,000 square feet of exhibit space to include permanent exhibits like Amazing Bodies, Planetary Landscapes, the Bubbles exhibit and much more. The Discovery Center is also looking to the future with new permanent exhibits including: Hunters of the Sky, an in depth look at the cultural and natural history of birds of prey, and Bounce, everything about those round balls that intrigue us.
The Space Theater is a digital planetarium that offers out of this world trips to our nearest neighbors in the solar system to the depths of deep space. The highly flexible digital planetarium can take you from Mars to the edge of a black hole in the wink of an eye.
In addition to the new exhibits there is a 100-seat multi-media auditorium and 3,000 square foot multi-purpose room that are available for receptions, banquets and parties.
